Lovely Lilac

This little cutsie was made for a baby girl who arrived in September!


The request was made for lilac and pink, and I was amazed at how little lilac is available here in Japan for baby girls!


In the end, I did manage to find these cute onesies with a bit of lilac on them - and the toy has lilac ears!

This cake was made with:

23 newborn Merries nappys
1 soft rattle
1 long sleeved onesie
1 short sleeved onesie
1 pair of scratch mittens

A special delivery for an even more special delivery!

Pretty in pink

This pretty cake was baked for a new arrival in June :-)

IT was packed with plenty of adorable, coordinated clothing for baby, as well as a selection of treats to pamper the new mum.


I generally have a selection of similar ingredients on hand to be able to make a cake even at short notice, and the Japanese takkyubin (courier) service ensures safe and speedy delivery, so please don't hesitate to contact me if you want to place an order!

It's a girl!

A church friend gave birth to a gorgeous little girl on Thursday evening! She is so precious, just cuddling her made me broody for another! I took along this nappy cake when I went to visit her at the hospital yesterday:



I decided to make a smaller one as there will be a baby shower for her next month and I will most likely want to make a more impressive one for that event.



The ingredients for this cake included:

22 newborn Merries nappies
1 plush bunny rattle
1 shortie embroidered romper
1 matching bib
2 pink trimmed gauze burp cloths
1 Avon Care Deeply Herb hand cream
1 Maxim Strawberry Latte
1 Nescafe Chocolatte



This type/size of cake would retail at approximately 4,000 yen (plus postage).

Little Blue Elephant

This nappy cake would make the perfect gift for a new baby boy!



I've gone for a little blue elephant theme, and elephants feature on many of this cake's ingredients, which include:



32 Pamper's nappys (new born size)

Welcome to Cakes-a-goo-goo!



Looking for an unusual and impressive gift for a new mum? Need a centerpiece for a baby shower? Each of my cakes are unique and put together with great care. Unlike other nappy cakes I have seen on sale here in Japan, my cakes are packed with surprises for both mum and baby! Here's an example of what you might find in yours:



I only use high quality 'ingredients' in my cakes, after all a precious little newborn deserves only the very best! I use either Pampers or Merries disposable nappies, and a three-tier cake contains approximately 30 nappies. All items used are brand new, and where ever possible I leave the labels attached. Every 'ingredient' in the cake can be used (even the base is a handy tray).



I am very happy to create cakes to a theme (given ample notice) or to suit any particular needs or budget, and I can make smaller or larger cakes than the ones shown here. All cakes are wrapped in clear cellophane plastic and tied with a ribbon before sending, and can be delivered throughout Japan, or overseas.

Prices will vary according to what ingredients are used, but should range between 5,000 yen to 8,000 yen (plus delivery) for a three-tier cake. Please feel free to contact me with your requirements and I will send you a quote!
